Thanks for visiting my site.
I teach high school, as this interview with Hippocampus Magazine‘s Donna Talarico reveals.
At the time of that interview, I was the nonfiction, drama and miscellany editor for Eclectica Magazine, one of the oldest surviving online literary journals. After nine years with Eclectica, I left to focus on my writing, teaching, health, and family.
I also write books, as you can see from this site.
My debut novel, He Who Shall Remain Shameless, was released as an ebook in 2011 and then in revised print and ebook editions in 2022.
In 2023, I released The Fallible: Stories in both print and ebook formats.
Released in August 2024, The Book of Stan is a short novel that concerns itself with sexuality, misogyny, religious extremism, politics, family bonds, and the intersections between.
My third novel, The Thief of THAT, was released in September 2025.
To coincide with her review of The Thief of THAT, Heather L. Barksdale (Heather’s Bookshelf) interviewed me. Read that interview here.
I’m a graduate of the College of Creative Studies at the University of California Santa Barbara and the MFA creative writing program at the University of Notre Dame.
I write, teach and parent in California’s Central Valley.
